Energy for the future  

Hydro-Québec opted for reliable energy more than 50 years ago when it decided to use the province’s water resources to meet its customers’ electricity needs. Today, Québec hydropower supports the development of other renewables.

As a result of this choice in favor of hydropower, Québec has an excellent carbon footprint. Because it is clean and renewable, hydropower is one of the best solutions in the fight against climate change in North America.
